How to get huge discounts on anything
We make buying decisions almost every day of our life. Either on big products or small ones, the fact is that we let out our hard earned money for some commodities often. There is nothing that pinches my leg than getting a product at a higher price than someone else did with the same quality in view. Let me give you a tip of the iceberg from the results I have seen from following the steps I am about to reveal to you. I recently got a product I would have gotten for $12 at $1.67.
I am sure everyone wants to get cheap things with high quality. The case is not different with my friend, when he saw fine high quality shoe for 2,000 naira. He was shocked because he had bought his own for 4,000 naira. When compared together, he discovered that his was the fake and mine was da bomb.
The first step in getting your cheap stuffs is to determine where you want to get them. Actually, where you get your products matters a lot. If you are sensitive enough, you will know that I am set to talk about spicing up your bargaining power. So, that implies that walking into a high tech boutique to make your orders may not just favour you. Rule number one is “never buy in a place where your bargaining power is restricted immediately you find yourself inside.” Truly, everyone has that power to bargain, but only a few of us exercise it. Probably we feel too rich to do such. In my opinion, there is no evil in doing this. So, this article may not be for you if you don’t really care about cutting costs.
After ensuring rule number one is met, the next thing is that you must ensure you put a smile on your face and give a comely salutation to the attendant. Even if you have not been doing this before now, you just must do at least for now. Try to be nice to him or her and he will surely pay you in return. Let me analyze how this happens in a more practical way. Will you like to charge your closest friend a high fee for your product or service? Definitely not. So, all I am saying is that act as if you knew him somewhere else? Your words will do that for you. How? Just say, how is business moving? And watch his or her response. I am pretty sure you will get a response you can build on. Just the response alone will move you into other discussions. While you’re discussing, just ask him/her for the price of the product you’re picking. So, Rule number two is “act like his close friend.” Please note that if the age difference between you and the attendant is very wide. (especially if she is old enough to be your mother or father); then it will be hilarious to relate with him/her like your friend. Just portray yourself as a son or daughter. In fact, that is the best angle. Let everything you will discuss be around son/daughter – father or son/daughter – mother. No parents want to place stress on his child by charging high.
Another great method I have applied so many times is staying on the same ground with them on a public matter. Say, the coming election. Just ask for his or her view about who will become the next president. You will then support his opinion strongly. Even if that’s not your preferred candidate. You can as well talk about sport or any other social, religious or ethnic views and stay by what he says.
Now we want to get back to smiling. After seeing or hearing the price tag, just start laughing (hahahahahaaha)! Make sure it’s very obvious that you’re laughing. You will hear her saying “why are you laughing, dude”. Respond by saying, “ha, the price is scaring me”. Remember you are his/her friend. Then say, so how much is the last price. While you’re doing this, you must have a certain amount of money you are willing to let go for the product at most. Wait for her response and then state how much you want to pay. Ensure that you state below the amount you are willing to pay.
You can be sure he/she will not agree with your price. Drag it here and there with her. At the end of the day, you are likely to land back on the actual amount you intended paying her.
There is more to bargaining than I have stated in this post, let’s save other tips for the second part. Leave your comments, suggestions, views and opinions here. Till then
Nothing matches that.
