Moving from new to renewed resolutions…

Happy sunday or happy new week? Anyway, I sincerely wish you joy and infinitum from henceforth…

I remember sometimes last year when we did some community diagnosis (an aspect of community medicine), we had to pretest our questionnaires before administering them to our sample population…

This was done to ensure its validity and to make corrections or ammendments where necessary…so that we’re gonna have an hitch free field work and better data…

When the new year appears, so many people come up with resolutions and in about few hours or days, they screw up and can’t live to the dictates of their resolve…

So many end up being frustrated and just resign to fate and leave each day purposeless and reckless as it comes…
The point is this…

In 13 days, we’ll be entering a new calendar year… Note the my use of the word ‘calendar’…its not only the calendorial system that dictates a new year. Of course a chronological year starts on our birthdays. The redemption year of RCCG starts in August. What more can I say of the Hebrew, Arabic or even Academic years? A new year doesn’t have to start in January. It depends on when u call it.

Hey dear, I am not attempting to abolish or undermine our January – December calendorial system. I am a loyalist to its convenience and I accept it to the core.

The highpoint is this: Imagine your new year is starting in three days time.  Use the next 3 days to plan ur goals and make ur resolutions. After those 3 days, try to implement them for the next 7 days. 

Then, pause a little
Access ur self
Analyse ur situation
And restrategise for the next 3 days

Yipeeeee Yaaaaay

You are already in January 1, 2012. Not just with new year resolutions but with renewed year resolutions. This way, you have done a pretest and now u have a valid, tested and trusted resolution. What you’ve done is to show ur seriousness and sincerity in achieving your resolutions.
