A Vision to Lead

This is a guest post by Stewart Funderburk.

2012 has a futuristic resonance with each approaching new syllable. Taking us to new dimensions, new intentions…. and new inventions. Something solid about letting go of a year entwined with the intricacies of schedules and unforeseen events.

Throughout our past twelve months, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and economic turmoil have shaken mankind. How does a visionary plan for such? We may feel the pull of fatalism and throw goals out the window or with the mind of a pioneer, surge forward into unfamiliar territory embracing the challenge of every natural disaster. Man is a resilient creature; with the same DNA inherit in every giant of legendary success.

We are not some political correct denizen of democracy’s design, but entrusted stewards of amazing gifts that when unleashed upon a world stagnating in status quo, we simply fill the shoes of a leader who will not relent until that inner driving vision conquers the gathering empires of apathy, disillusionment, and complacency. Men who fade into history’s mist are men who’ve lost that inner spark ignited by the sacred call to uplift humanity, extend mercy, and inspire hope through whatever unique talents resident deep within their core…for if we have no vision, we have left our fellow man magnetically pulled by the god of his own creation, into an abyss of self delusion.
