Nigeria’s Call…I Obey

This week will be a memorable one for me..no doubt about that. It’s the week of my first obedience to a National Call. I believe you understand what I am talking about. It’s the NYSC program. I know the first question that will come to your mind will have to do with where I was posted to. I was posted to Niger State (Nigeria’s largest state with respect to landmass). When I got to know, it was a moment of mixed feelings for me. What ever the case is, I believe that Niger State is not a bad place to be this season. As God will have it, I made a trip to the state capital (Minna) with Smith Bam some weeks back. I never knew I will be posted back there.

Nigeria’s call Obey
To Serve our father land…

Watch out for my updates on how Niger State treats me. I intend to wave the flag of my fate there and climb the highest mountain possible with serving my country. I will reach out for maximum impact and ensure Niger regrets my departure after one year.

It may not be an easy ride all through, I suspect. Nothing less than fantastic will my delivery be. I really do not have much to say here.

MY ROAD MAP
So, how do I intend to land to Niger State? From my previous knowledge, Abuja – Minna (Niger State) is about 1h – 1h:30 mins journey. Sequel to this, my flight to Abuja has been booked for Monday. So, I’ll sleep over in Abuja and set for Minna on Tuesday (5th, July). I will be joining a friend who has been posted to Niger State as well. So, we’ll make the trip together.

MY PLANS
I won’t be unveiling the details of my plans for my service year here yet, but I will unravel them soon. If I have my way, I intend to engage in a skill acquisition program for the secondary schools, Financial Education program for churches and many other plans. The truth is that I cannot do it all alone. I need a team to deliver. Therefore, to me, every corper I meet in camp is a potential team member to help deliver this call for the nation. This will be done irrespective of our place of primary assignment. So, help us God!

Hmm, Niger State…Watch for the arrival of a GREAT MAN.
